Ivo has been busy founding and co-founding companies and initiatives since the socialist times, having co-founded one of Croatia's oldest IT companies way back in 1989.
Co-founded the first startup program in Croatia, ZIP, in 2012 and one of Europe's leading online tech publications, Tech.eu, in 2013.
In 2016 Ivo published a book of interviews with European startup founders, „The European Startup Revolution”.
Today he is an independent consultant and advisor, working with the European Research Council, the University of Zagreb and a number of companies in various stages of development and growth.
His interests include fintech, deep tech and particularly the rocky road from research lab to the market.
Based in Zagreb, Croatia, he spends part of the year with his family on the sunny Dalmatian island of Hvar, where the fine art of winemaking has a history going back 2,500 years.
